The Stone Refuge

The Stone Refuge is a personal exploration of retreat, solitude, and architectural presence. Set on a Mediterranean hillside, the project imagines a series of compact monolithic shelters emerging from dense vegetation, between the vertical rhythm of cypress trees and the open horizon of the sea.
Clad in grey stone shingles, each volume feels both primitive and precise, a silent mass cut by narrow horizontal openings that frame fragments of landscape, light, and distance. More than a house, the refuge is conceived as a place of withdrawal: an architecture reduced to shadow, texture, and view.
