Not a Hotel

Not a Hotel Yakushima is imagined as a retreat absorbed by the island’s forest, rain, and mist.
The architecture does not try to dominate the landscape, but to disappear within it shaped by curved roofs, dark timber, stone, water, and filtered light. Across the sequence of images, the house becomes less an object and more a quiet presence: a shelter between the mountain, the trees, and the changing weather of Yakushima.
